Window Tinting

I'm getting my windows tinted today and had a few questions. I'm mainly getting them tinted because I'm pretty sure I'm living on the surface of the sun over here. Not really trying to make my car look cool. After all its a 2000 gold colored Camry... LOL. State laws are 33% for the front windows and anything goes for the back.

I was planing on doing 30-35 on the fronts and 15-20 on the backs. I was also thinking about doing a 50% on the windshield. Does anybody have their front windshield tinted? I'm worried about visibility at night. It doesn't rain here so I really don't need to worry about weather. When I was 18 I had a Taurus with 5% tint all around with an eyebrow on my windshield also and loved it.

Another thing, I will be getting the FormulaONE Pinnacle series ceramic tint. I wear Oakley polarized glasses. Will my glasses play tricks on me when I try to look through the tinted windshield?

You can tint the windshield, but it's supper lite.

If they will let you, go dark as you want on all windows. Just passing will cost ya a bit more at oil change places. Just don't go to the state run box sites.

Or just roll in with windows down.<----- fixed

The place I took it to wouldn't tint the window except with a clear film and they wanted 200 bucks!!! Ended up getting 35 up front and 20 in the rear

From what I read online the plastic film that makes the front windshield shatter proof already blocks UV. Heat on the other hand it does not. From what I've read online though it shouldn't cost 200 bones maybe 65-100 tops. I guess I will have to find a shop that's not a chain do it for me. Seems strange they wouldn't do it. Maybe they can be fined?

Lots of "optically clear" material (not garbage film) & a difficult window to do = $$
If putting film on the front window is not legal in your state, they can probably be fined.
