Kivaru, Maxpedition, 5.11, Tactical Tailor, Mystery Ranch...
There are dozens of companies who make good gear. I snagged an Arc'Teryx Bora 80 that was a $400 pack for about $100 bucks. You could have parked a bus in that thing and it carried extremely well. Don't be afraid of camping/hiking packs, but look for the ones with thicker materials as they'll have better abrasion resistance.

I bought a Maxpedition Condor II pack with the intent of destroying it in a year and I have had 0 problems. The material is extremely thick, in fact, so thick that all of the compartments hold their shapes when empty.
Looking back I would have bought something with less bells and whistles, I look like a poser when I ride with it.

Maxpidition stuff is absolutely bullet proof but I think their bags run small for the price. I have a condor and used it for years as a quick day pack or carry on but it is small.
How much stuff are you trying to carry?

Past couple years I've been using a Condor Venture as a daily bag. http://www.condoroutdoor.com/160_Venture_Pack.aspx
It's mostly used for work, carrying around my work laptops and tools. So far it's been a great bag that's very comfortable, it's just limited on size. If at all possible, I'd like to find a 3 day bag or something similar that I can use for work without it being too big, but still use for shorter trips.Originally posted by JesterEvery time you see the fucking guy....show him your fucking dick.. Spend the money and get a red oxx bag. It's made for railroaders and will stand the test of time. Granted they ain't cheap but they are made in America and come with a lifetime warranty which they will stand behind. I use to go through a cheap bag every 3 or 4 months. My red oxx has been going strong for the last 5 years.
This thing will carry anything you want it to carry.
