I've come close to buying one a few times just to see what the fuss is about. I always remind myself that they are to small, my current smoker will cook anything I want it to, and I love playing with fire so no egg for me. I've seen people have great success with them and they are good to get the novice into the sport.

Ive got 400 pounds of beef in the freezer. Your damn right its grilling time.

We cubed up some swiss steak, and marinated in alegro hickory smoke liquid marinade, Chopped up some peppers and onions and shrooms and made cobobs.

I need a new grill, But i really want a nice smoker.

I just cooked a steak at 600 degrees on mine. You just can't beat the big green egg. Wait till you smoke a turkey on it. Good shit

                      Nice score man.

Did you not get a cradle/cart?

And don't listen to Brent, it's a more of a grill than a smoker.

Enjoy man, you can't go wrong with it.

Add me to the club as well, picked up a BGE while I was in DFW this weekend. Got a good start on building my table tonight and should have it all set up by this weekend. After selling one of my GT's that cash was just burning a hole in my pocket lol.

I was TIRED of messing with propane grills. I went through two $1000 propane grills in a matter of 7 years. I get tired of EVERY bottle change having to mess with the regulator to get it to work. Getting home from a 15 mile trip with a bottle that will only give me half flame. 3/4 way through grilling and run out of propane. Gas tube rusting/breaking and having to rebuild.

Grilling season runs year round as long as it is not raining or the winds aren't too high. Marinate some steaks and get that thing broken in.

Welcome to the last grill/smoker you will buy.

I've grilled, smoked, and "baked" on mine. Sunday I smoked a brisket at 220* for 8 hours or so while it rained most of the day... no problems.
