You can not imagine how difficult it is to hold a half gallon of moo juice and polish the one-eyed gopher when your doin' seventy-five in an eighteen-wheeler.
Sounds like a soon to be Ugly drum smoker convert!!
I thought about it but then you run into a brick wall when it comes to the ceramic coating...although I am sure you can get some damn fine results from other "less expensive" grills on the market.
Hell, $700 would get you enough materials for a nice "do it yourself" BBQ pit in the back yard. But not here to knock the guys decision, I am here for the food

Ive had food from both, and a 70 dollar ugly drum smoker (price pending on how concerned you are with form over function) and make some pretty damn good sweet meat. Don't get me wrong the Egg is awesome and a whole lot easier to use, but once configured correctly I'd take a drum smoker any day.
And it sounds like it's a gift that keeps on giving with all the good eats you've probably enjoyed from it.
yup. It is an every weekend thing during the spring/summer months and then every other weekend during the fall winter.....I love that he cooks the big stuff outside so that we don't heat up the house!!!

Lol.. my wife is the same way, although she loves sitting outside drinking beer as i grill. either way its a win win!!
I've got a couple of friends with them, and they love them. The gipsies ive had were tasty, buti'm not sure I would say "better" than any other charcoal grill.
Congrats on the purchase.
