    Hey I know the owner of that company!!!! And you just spent a ton of cash on that thing. Nice grills but so out of my price range.

      Follow this blog. Jason is religious about his BGE, and cooks on it 3-4 nights a week if not more.

        We love ours, pork with apple wood smoke, cherry and pecan for ribs and brisket.....Chicken with pecan. grilled pineapple on it and all kinds of veggies......this is what I got my husband on mother's day last year! Best gift I have ever gotten!!!

          I'm cheap, I use and UDS... but i mainly smoke brisket and ribs in it, I haven't done anything real fancy

              Just Googled it as I have never heard of "The Big Green Egg"....yeah $700 is a little out of my range too...

                  I thought about it but then you run into a brick wall when it comes to the ceramic coating...although I am sure you can get some damn fine results from other "less expensive" grills on the market.

                  Hell, $700 would get you enough materials for a nice "do it yourself" BBQ pit in the back yard. But not here to knock the guys decision, I am here for the food

                    yup, sure did.....Best thing ever. He loves it....I had the money from a good month with my drafting so I decided why the hell not.

                      Ive had food from both, and a 70 dollar ugly drum smoker (price pending on how concerned you are with form over function) and make some pretty damn good sweet meat. Don't get me wrong the Egg is awesome and a whole lot easier to use, but once configured correctly I'd take a drum smoker any day.

                          yup. It is an every weekend thing during the spring/summer months and then every other weekend during the fall winter.....I love that he cooks the big stuff outside so that we don't heat up the house!!!

                            Lol.. my wife is the same way, although she loves sitting outside drinking beer as i grill. either way its a win win!!

                              I've got a couple of friends with them, and they love them. The gipsies ive had were tasty, buti'm not sure I would say "better" than any other charcoal grill.
