The we got to the Trinity Site: Where the first ever nuclear weapon was detonated at White Sands Missile Range. I wasn't able to get 100% to the site due to the base, but got as close as was allowed. I've always been fascinated by nuclear anything, so this was pretty damn cool to me. I'm old enough to still remember the Cold War.

Scully was getting tired of all this driving, so we left New Mexico by way of El Paso, and after getting one question at a border patrol checkpoint on I10, made it down to Corpus Christi.
Filled a 20oz Coke bottle with Woodford Reserve and made myself a plot on the abandoned beach on a Tuesday afternoon.
Headed back towards DFW tomorrow with a couple more stops, but I'll probably be back tomorrow night. It's been a nice little vacation so far, and much needed. I think I'm around 1800 miles so far, and this whole trip really hasn't cost me hardly anything but gas money and 2 hotel rooms.

You actually did something that soooo many talk about but never make it happen.
Kudos man! I'm envious.

I'll buy you a drink for every cool story you tell, and if it involves aliens (or farm animals) - your call on the hooch.'

I'll check out the thread, but man, I've done a TON of driving this week and would like to have a few days at home to relax. That isn't a "no" yet though.
