RIP Capt. My condolences to the family left behind.

I am gonna go out on a limb here and suggest it was fast and the wife never even knew what happened until later; hopefully. It said it happened durring a regular Skype session. The internet is so choppy and shitty over there and constently freezes and skips forward. More than likely he was in proximity to a rocket/mortor. If that WAS the case it had to have knocked out the computer too. My .02 as I hope it is the easiest explanation.

Unless the video was somehow being recorded, I don't think it will be. AFAIK Skype doesn't keep a copy of video calls either on its servers or on the client machines.

I can not copy the article but it says there is no bullet wound and no foul play. The wife tried for 2 hours to get someone on the phone at the base to go to the room and check on him.

Still a tragedy.
