Apparently walmart doesn't have doormen anymore due to a suit where a guy who was stealing some merch got injured being tackled by security and won.

SHERMAN — Sherman police say a woman wanted in connection with the theft of more than 100 iPads from three dozen stores in as many North Texas cities is now under arrest.

The suspect, Jessica Hoffman, 37, was captured in Arlington at an apartment complex near the Six Flags Hurricane Harbor water park.

Police said the Arlington resident is likely to be charged with organized retail theft over $20,000. Hoffman was being transferred to Sherman for questioning and then will be held at the Grayson County Jail.

Bond will be set at $100,000.

Police said a story that aired on WFAA last week generated four tips that helped lead them to Hoffman. The story featured surveillance footage clearly showing the suspect making off with stolen iPads from stores in McKinney and Sherman.
