Sounds almost exactly like HP. The pull the same crap all the time. We have lost so many great people while they keep hiring Juan and Habib that can't do a damn thing for themselves putting all the work on the US people to fix all their screw ups. Always bragging about how great the numbers are but constantly laying off US people, never off-shore. Every. single. quarter. I hate IT these days but I don't think I could go anywhere else with what experience I make the same or better pay.

At least the new CEO reversed everyone's pay cut from two years ago. Unfortunately they decided to screw me a different way. No merit pay raise or a pay raise for my promotion. Nevermind that I just got my 2nd "K" rating in a row despite the added responsibilities of my promotion. At least they gave me a half way decent bonus this year. Still it pisses me off that I'm billable at over $150 an hour and was 150% billable for 2010 but I get dicked on compensation.

Man, I am truly sorry for your loss of a job. This freakin econmy has to get better soon. We are making less than half of what we are use to making our selves. We are having to bid jobs for less and paying more more material. Hopefully you will find something newer and better soon.

What sucks is when the company that lets you go the week before Christmas knows all the loopholes in the Unemployment system, and fucks you out of your unemployment benefits, so you end up having a shitty Christmas....

That sucks...sorry to hear that man. This company doesn't care about "good techs/workers". I've been a part of 4 force adjustments/surpluses, but have lucked out on all of them. I heard of a rumor of another surplus starting in Jan,but I guess they already started.

Yes I heard there is a Company wide force adjustment coming in Jan as well. And the writing is on the walls, when we call in for DSL orders we now get a option to have it done automaticaly instead of talking with a rep. We have lost so many techs to surpluses that tickets are weeks out.

Who knows where we will be in 1-2 years.

I will keep working 6 days a week, I love the checks 13-15k in just this month, hell yes keep the money coming.

It could be much, much worse! I worked for a company that gave out Christmas bonuses, let everyone spend them, and then laid them off right after New Years!

This company is in the DFW area, and as a manager over the next year or so, I got to tell about 100 people they didn't have a job anymore!

What AT&T did to you was far nicer than what this company did.

Are you an RSC? Where at? How is the income like at store level these days? That's where I started with the company and actually made better money than I do now but that was back in the Cingular Wireless days. If I don't find anything after 6 months (i don't have to pay back my severance after that) then I might even look back at RSC jobs.

Randall could care less about his employees... the stockholders are all that matter.

I know they want you to tell them if you find another job but you don't have to. I double dipped for 3 months once.
