That sucks...sorry to hear that man. This company doesn't care about "good techs/workers". I've been a part of 4 force adjustments/surpluses, but have lucked out on all of them. I heard of a rumor of another surplus starting in Jan,but I guess they already started.

I cant tell you how many managers I have talked to that make less than I do though. We had a girl come in straight from college and she cried the first time she handed out checks because the people she was managing made almost twice as her.
If I was you, I would apply for a job on the wireline side and stick to being a peon. The union pisses me off but unless your able to make it high up in the ranks, there is no reason to go into managment. I have yet to meet a 1st or 2nd line manager than didnt agree.
**EDIT** I say apply for the wireline side assuming you would be ok with the pay since they will probably pick you up pretty quick seeing you have expirience. With degree's and management expirience, I would personally look elsewhere for a higher paying job but if you are considering going back to wireless as a peon, I would choose wireline instead. The pay difference is quite a bit.

Sounds almost exactly like HP. The pull the same crap all the time. We have lost so many great people while they keep hiring Juan and Habib that can't do a damn thing for themselves putting all the work on the US people to fix all their screw ups. Always bragging about how great the numbers are but constantly laying off US people, never off-shore. Every. single. quarter. I hate IT these days but I don't think I could go anywhere else with what experience I make the same or better pay.

That sucks... sounds like you should get them back by posting up various ways the dfwmustangs consumer community can get over on them. Ya know, free upgrades, replacement phones, discounts, direct phone # to consumer relations (not to be confused with customer service), etc.

LOL, that would be cool!
I know when I worked in the stupid residential long distance dept back in like the late 80's, any call under $10 you said was not yours, they would delete from your bill.

My att account is the worst. The only reason why we have them is for the stupid ass iPhone which when it moves over to Verizon I am porting all 100 users.
Ive gone thru 6 reps in the last 3 years. I don't even bother calling them, just call business customer care.
