      For 5 people or more??? I thought most places added it for 8 or more.

      Also, locking the people in is a recipe for violence.

          No to mention, a possible criminal offense. I think that they can add it for how ever many people though, as long as it's printed on the menu.

            The lady should have called the police and said they were be held against their will. I'm sure the cop loved being called in for a strictly civil manner.

                  It doesn't have to be printed on the menu, to add gratuity. At least, when I was waiting it didn't have to be.
