  • Wisdom tooth extraction price?

Hey guys, for those that don't have insurance what is a ballpark figure of the cost for prep, anesthetic, op, and post op cost of a wisdom tooth extraction?

Depends on where you go. 100-450.00 on average per tooth. My wife had her's out two years ago, and it cost 15xx.xx out the door. I would have to dig through our paper work and find out exactly.

call Baylor school of dentistry in Dallas, they may be able to get you on the schedule for under $200. It's a teaching school and they need patients to work on. Buddy of mine did this years ago and it was cheap.

This^^^^. I did this last year when one became inflamed and hurt like holy hell. Waited on the front steps from 5am until they opened and got in.....it was like $210 for the extraction ONLY using local anesthetic. Unfortunately I was one of those that the local wouldn't work on so I had to schedule surgery for the next day which tacked about $300 to the price (the surgeon also removed my OTHER wisdom tooth to save me from having to go thru it again in the future). They put me completely under and it took about an hour to remove both.

So you're saying you can get your wisdom teeth pulled twice as cheap in the US than the European socialist healthcare system?

Sisters had to be surgically extracted and the bill was a tick over $1000. Mine were already in, but due to "Abnormally long roots", it was going to be $1700 for me.
