okay, I have a nephew that is 24 and back from the Marines. he is extremely intelligent with the exception that he is 24 and thinks he knows absolutely everything about everything. He is the type of person that you have no idea what he says is real or bullshit. He saw some shit in Afghan and that is all I know. He will tell you he got some kills and had friends die. I dont know or care......but it is all he talks about when he is around.
So, lately i heard that he got a kill at 1100 yds with an AR or M4...not sure....with an ACOG scope. now, this sounds completely retarded to me. Keep in mind that this same kid thinks without a doubt that the Quad Rotor in the vid section is actually real. -sigh- I have pointed out more stupid shit he says and always try and get him to provide proof.......to no avail.

Anyway, he is convinced....and I mean fucking CONVINCED.....that zombies are going to actually be real. His wife buys him every weapon he wants just to shut him up. he has a nice collection. A lapua sniper rifle, a ar15 or m4(i dont know the difference....or care) that is fully loaded with all the shit you can put on it, several handguns, and his recent new toy is a Saiga 12 custom painted with holo site and flash light. Shot it this past weekend.....very cool toy.

I am going to slap the shit out of this kid. I love him, but his whole fucking life revolves around zombies and preparing for the apocalypse. Hey, that is fine and dandy, but maybe stocking up on some water and canned goods might be a decent idea?

I shoot a competition rifle in .223 @ 1000 yards, and I can tell you the likelihood he killed someone at 1100 yards is very very unlikely. It can just punch paper at that range. And it took me a year to get my groups closed up after 700 rounds of hand loaded ammo. If someone told me that I would almost immediately dismiss it. His issue gun would be a 16" carbine... with a 4x ACOG? I shoot 1000 yards with a 24x scope.

He would be issued either M193 55gr or M855 62gr - both of which are laughable accuracy at 600 yards, let alone nearly double that.
