I have plans to build a shed and some other projects and I am thinking I want to get an air nailer. I'm not sure I understand the different types and what to look for. I am going to be nailing 2x4's 4x4, 2x6 etc. I'm just looking for a good used one.

I got the this one from Harbor Freight and have ran several boxs of 3.5 inch nails and 1 3/4 and 1 1/2 inch nails thru it. Built a little over 200 feet of board on board fence and 20x15 store front with with and still going with no trouble. The 3.5 inch nails I also got harbor freight the others are ring shanked from home depot. IMO will worth the money compared to big name nailers.

Buy the one in post three. For the average home owner who is going to use it three or four times, that is more than sufficient...
Since we're practically neighbors now Frank, holler at me when you're done with it. Need to borrow it for a day or two...

Make sure you get one that uses round head nails, not clipped heads, in case you ever need to do anything they requires an inspection. Clipped heads won't pass most city inspections. Oil it before every use.
Mine was about $200, and I have used it alot, rebuilding most of a two story house in Tulsa plus many other projects. It was money well spent.sigpic18 F150 Supercrew - daily
