  • The key pad around the door handle

On trucks and some cars, who the hell uses it?

    I've always wondered that, myself.

My dad had an Expedition when I was younger and he used it all of the time when we were out somewhere he didn't want to take his keys and the car wasn't around anything/anyone (out at the lake, baseball practice, etc.). I used it a lot back then to run out to get something from the car if I didn't feel like bugging him for the keys/he wasn't around.

I use mine a ton. When I had lincolns back in the day, I always used it. Even though my truck has a fob, I still use the pad quite often. quick and easy to lock/unlock without digging through your pocket for keys

I can leave my dog in the truck with the AC on easily, etc.

Had a couple of vehicles with it but never used it. Could see how it would definitely be convenient in some situations though, like going tubbing on the Guad.

Used it on my mark all the time letting it warm up in the winter etc so I could start it and lock the door. Also wife would use it as only had 1 key fob so she could type in her assigned code and it would move the seat steering tilt and telescope and mirrors by the time she was in it it would be ready to go.

A lot of our customers use them, some people have them installed aftermarket, so they must be pretty popular. I wouldn't want it because they are ugly in my opinion unless they are molded in with the door handle like the F trucks.

My mom had an Explorer with it. I'd use it to get into the Explorer to get things when I needed to without having to find her keys. I was the only one in the family that knew the code or used it.

I use mine everytime I go out. Lock the keys in the car ( so I don't lose them) and go about my business

my aunt had it and the one time i tried to just smash the numbers in it unlocked. maybe she was messing with me, but after that i didn't like the concept.

We use it every day on the Lincoln. The key never leaves the truck. I like it cause you never have to worry about locking the keys in the car. Wish my mustang had it.
