It's happened twice now, both times too late at night to call chase support. My card will get declined, but not because of money. There has been at least several hundred dollars in the account both times, and both times were only purchases between $20 and $40. Then after it gets declined I go to the ATM, and not only will it not give me cash, it won't even show me my balance. I can see it on the internet, but not at the bank. Has anyone else been having problems with their Chase cards? Or have they reserved this problem just for me? It seems to work during the day, but twice in a week it has not worked at night. Perfectly timed for me to not be able to call and complain when i'm most pissed off!

first off if you call the number on the back of the card they do have another number you can call for 24 hr service, I have never had that kind of problem with my chase card but one time I requested a new card because mine was old and having problems swiping. They sent me an email telling me that they are sending a new card out and my old card will stay active until I activate the new one, three days later they deactivated my card and I called around 1 am spoke with them for about an hour pissed off about it and they finally agreed to reactivate my card after the whole time them telling me that card is reported stolen and there is no way to reactivate it!

Only use my Debit at the ATM about twice a month, so I haven't had the issue with that BUT I did once have a similar issue with my Chase Freedom CC. Got declined for a $3ISH charge repeatedly at a gas station down in Midlothian. They were having issues apparently with Chase because the woman asked me specifically if it was a Chase card.

Had the same thing happen to me a couple of weeks ago. Check your email spam/bulk mail. There's probably an email from them letting you know they've shut your card down for fraud protection. Call the number inside the email, it will ask you a couple of automated questions to verify the recent purchases you've made, then the card gets kicked back on. Takes about 3 minutes. Problem solved.

No chase related problems.
I did have a problem with the "blink" feature, where you tap instead of swipe the card. Apparently some stores don't accept a tap from Visa cards, but they will accept it if it's swiped.
Both times, I swiped it after trying the tap and it worked fine.
I did have a fraud problem with my Chase debit card a few months back, got the e-mail to call them. Then went down to the local branch and I had a temp card in minutes. The new card showed up a few days later..

I had a problem recently buying something with my Chase debit card. It was an expensive item so I called Chase and increased the limit on a single transaction it would allow for 24 hrs in order to let this go through. It still wouldn't work and after another call to Chase I just said fuck it and drove down the street to the bank and got a certified check for the amount.

Bank of America does suck 7 ways from Tuesday. I can't seem to get myself to leave them because they also do several things I like.
Some of my co-workers were bitching about Chase yesterday. One got declined on getting gas on his debit card. He called and they said they locked due to potential fraud and then turned it back on right then.
It may be due to the holiday season and more fraudulent charges being made.WRX
