I'm 99.9% sure you can fight it. Now see how much it would be to just pay the ticket though before you go about fighting it.

it was right before they extended the castle law to the car as well as the house. but at the time they had the 3 county law and a few others. all the charges got dropped so i didn't make much of a stink about it.

One very simple reason. REVENUE ! You were in a WORK truck, so it was obvious that you had the ability to pay the ticket. Also you would not take the time off to go to court. Slam dunk for the collection of money from the citizens.

well here i am enjoying my Friday driving to Paris Tx to do a quick little job, i see a State Trooper driving on the right lane doing about 55-60 on a 70, so i pass him doing 70ish, a couple of miles down the road i see him coming up fast on the left lane so i pull over to the right lane, he gets 1/4 of a car ahead of me and looks back, i look at him and BAM, F'er turns his lights on and pulls me over. So i pull over to the median on the grass, far enough from the highway and he aproaches my truck, do u know why i pulled u over... this time i really didnt know, he says for no seatbelt WTF!!!! i had my seatbelt on the whole time. he asks me for my license and insurance and i give it to him, then he tells me to step out of the truck which i do, then he asks me if he can search my truck, HA i tell him, not without a warrant, i didnt have anything in there but still..so he goes to his car looks up my info and gives me a ticket...what a way to ruin a great Friday

If possible never make eye contact with police officers while driving......it often causes them to react like a dog does when you stare at them eye to eye.
