Talking about noticing watches. We were at lunch yesterday and I saw an older man across the room and noticed he had a gold Daytona Paul Newman on a leather strap and mentioned it to my buddy. He thought I was crazy for being able to notice something like that from 100 yards away. I find a watch is the first thing I am drawn too.
Today at lunch another senior citizen sporting a yg DD with a diamond bezel.
My wife thought I was weird for noticing a Panerai a couple rows ahead of us at a Rangers game recently.

I like them because I don't have to be so careful wearing them. I think it's going to make a more practical every-day watch. I don't really like wearing a dress watch every day since the dress code where I work is somewhat casual. I also think they look pretty cool. They have a kind of an anti-baller function over fashion look.

Same for me, I'm hard on watches, I'm jut a clutz I suppose. I do like wearing nicer watches when I'm out for an evening or at a business meeting, but I also tend to be a bit more careful.
i know the guys here at my job do it cause between equipment the spaces are tight and they always hit their arms against them. keeps the glass from getting shattered
