Seems to me all the preparedness would only give you the opportunity to live out your days in a radioactive hell.
Have we really built up an infrastructure that is impossible to control without massive human intervention? If there was a massive event, say something that killed off a massive amount of people, wouldn't our biggest fear be all of these nuclear plants that would start melting down?
