Need info on west texas trucking

Anyone know what pay rates run for trucks/watertrailers/drivers in the
Midland-Odessa drilling patch?

I heard some numbers but want to confirm with additional input from dfwmustangs, of course...

Trucks can pay 6-8k per month(after expenses taken out)
watertrailers ?2-3k? per month
Drivers can get 18/hour, any amount or hours they want(mostly offroad time)

Are those the pay averages others have heard?

Sounds like you are in the ballpark. Just remember, cost of living out there is also skewed up and finding lodging/residence is a pita. They'd have to double what you posted to get me to consider moving back out there. It is pretty much the butt crack of Texas.

The companies don't give any info over the phone. You have to show up and fill out an
application. Then you get some numbers.

It's only the numbers, but they get very compelling if you take it to the extremes.

Never worked down there but the way it is described they are pretty much neck n neck. Have to be a lot of money for me to consider going back to the oil field.
