    Defendant Flees Court, Steals, Crashes Cop Car

    A man appearing in a Fort Worth court Tuesday ran from court after hearing the charges against him and stole an empty police cruiser, police say.

    Officers pursed the accused man through downtown until he ran a red light at 7th and Calhoun and stuck another vehicle, police said.

    According to Fort Worth Police Department, both the defendant and the driver of the second vehicle in the crash were taken to an area hospital for observation.

    Fort Worth Police have not revealed the identity of the defendant.
    Wonder what the charges were as we know what they will add to them now...lol stupid people

          When I read shit like this, it always amazes me how dumb some people can get. But then again I don't hang out with dumbasses that would do stupid shit like this so it's bound to be a surprise. It's like some of these people are just primal, and they just feel compelled to run when trouble hits them.

                  XTO employee here, pretty common spot for accidents downtown, well here, and 7th and Houston. Crazy drivers down here.

                    Not sure if there will be any discipline. It is something you cannot foresee.

                    When you bail out on a runner, you aren't taking the time to put remove the keys and lock the doors. I know in a perfect world it would be so, but if you do that you lose valuable time that you could use chasing the guy.
