Matt, I really want a car so I can haul all my stuff in, but also have room for my family to ride as well. The truck is fine for two people to ride in comfortably, but three people is pushing it.

There is a fellow up in Sanger with a 60 - 61(not sure the exact year) Apache Suburban. It's rough, but wouldn't take much to make a daily out of it. It has been sitting for a few years, and I think he'd let go of it for a pretty good price.

Or there is a guy down the road from my FIL with 72 three door burb for sale.

Well, my dad has a diesel truck and a trailer.....

I wouldn't hesitate to drive my truck that far, it's the other car I'd be nervous about. It's all original, 235 6 cylinder and 3 on the tree.

I sent the guy a pm back but haven't heard from him yet. In the meantime, I had three other guys send me trade offers, one in Reno, another one in Florida, and another in Pittsburg.

I just put my truck on the HAMB and within minutes had a guy ask if I was interested in trading for a VERY nice blue '53 Chevy two door sedan. I'm VERY interested in it, but the car is in Wisconsin, so that's a small hurdle to overcome as far as trading. I'll keep you guys updated though. As much as I want a wagon, I would LOVE to have this '53, partly because it's nearly identical to the '54 I used to have.

I wish you did too ! Then I could find something else to work on ! LOL !

    Here's a run-down of what's been done to it.

There's TONS of new parts in it.

283 Small block Chevy. Doesn't smoke or burn oil. I put an MSD 6A ignition box on it and it fires right up, no matter how cold it is outside. Fresh rebuilt carb.
World Class T5 5 speed from a Camaro with S10 tail shaft and shifter rail to move the shifter forward.
    New Hurst shifter.
    New speedometer cable.
    New electric fuel pump.
    New fuel sending unit.
    New Old Air Products A/C.
    New aluminum radiator.
    New chrome grill and bumper.
New park light and tail light bezels.
New carpet and custom leather seat cover.
New brake lines, hoses, master cylinder, lowering springs, shocks.
New wide white wall tires on powder coated wheels.
New battery, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points.
Fabricated stainless steel radiator hoses and fan shroud.

And a whole bunch of other stuff I'm sure I'm forgetting.

The A/C blows out 28 degree air. It CRUISES down the highway. We rolled to Austin with the A/C on, running into a 20+ mph headwind, and rolled 70-75 the whole way and it got 15 mpg. This thing is a daily driver in every sense of the word. Cold A/C, hot heat, starts right up every time, super easy to drive and is dead reliable.

We went to Austin last weekend, drove it all over the place down there, and never had even so much as a hiccup. Cruising south Congress Ave it never got above 190 degrees in stop and go traffic.

I have over 70 pictures of all the work. I really would like to keep it, I just need something that I can lock all my stuff up in and not worry about someone stealing my lively hood.

    And some recent pictures.
