Tell me about AT&T Uverse

    I am currently waiting on ATT to fix their shit on my street, so they can setup uverse. I ordered two weeks.ago, and noticed some digging was being done around their boxes near the street. It turns out, it is some equipment Issue that they can't fix till the 27th and my appointment was pushed back till then. I am working from home now and need their fastest dsl. This is going to make me have to keep driving downtown until they get it fixed.

    Doesn 't lasen or someone else work with ATT?

      I had uverse in my apartment and loved it. Picture was great and the lineup was much better (compared to Charter). Unfortunately when at the house all they offer is Charter or dish/directv. Went with Charter, but will be switching to directv soon. Uverse was better, and cheaper.

          The main thing I liked more about Directv than my Uverse was the ability to "Play All" on recorded TV episodes. Then again, I don't really get around to watching what recorded until Sundays... Like someone else said also, the hardware is garbage! Remotes and boxes.

                  While it won't get you the bundle, I think non-Dish customer's can get the Hopper system for free right now by purchasing a qualifying package and signing a two year contract. You might look in to it that if more receivers is higher on your list than a bundle. I love it and Dish has always been very consistent their pricing the 11 years we've been with them.

                    I don't really want to admit it but I work on the Uverse repair side, I can't comment on anything though due they threaten to fire people for talking badly.
                    But I can say I do not have any services with ATT up to and including Uverse,Phones and Cell service. I am now with T-mobile charter for internet and Directv. And even with employee discounts I am saving close to 130.00 a month.

                      I have Uverse and love it. Ive had it for about 4 years now. Only problem ive had is having two boxes replaced because the wifi quit working. They came right out and switched them out though

                            We have the "bundle" currently. It started out last June at $203.00 a month for 2 cell phones and Uverse (cable and internet service). Now it has magically gone up to $315.36 for the 2 phones and Uverse (cable and internet service). They said the only way to get it lower would be to sign a 6 month to 1 year contract. However we have no plans to stay in the current location more than 3 months. Then where we are looking to move, may or may not have Uverse service.

                              Shit....you got lucky if it took only 3-4 hours and 7 or 8 phone calls. When I ordered the service they magically LOST and forgot everything.....5 times...and never showed up to install, had no record of me ordering the service (after 5 fucking times)...and then when they DID finally get the order processed...they came out...hooked up the junk...and left...but never turned on the TV to verify it even worked (which it didn't), and then it took 3 more days to get the stupid fucks to come back out on a repair ticket (which they tried to charge me for....repeatedly on multiple bills which I had to call each time to get removed)...only to first get told AFTER it was installed that A...my house was too far from the distribution box and that it wouldn't work (even though my neighbors on both sides had it), THEN when that was proven false...B. they tried to tell me the problem was with the wiring in my house...which was proven false after a technician FINALLY owned up that the problem was with THEIR box down the street. It ultimately ended up taking roughly 2 weeks after the inital install...about 2 days worth of phone calls, and multiple technicians to get the service working.

                                The other thing if you do get Uverse, make sure that the tech uses ethernet cable for the install rather than coax. I don't know if it helps with the quality, but it does at least give you a hardwired internet connection in any room with a box...
