I had amnesia for 2-3 hours after I woke up. Didn't remember my name or anything.

You don't need a ride for novacaine, which is all you should need unless your teeth are really buried in there. If they put you out, you will need a ride for sure.

They knocked my ass out. I started to come out of it midway so they knocked me out again. I was completely out of it for several hours after the procedure.

Dentists don't have recovery beds like a surgical ward so you aren't gonna hang out there for the day while you come out of it. Worst case, get a taxi to pick you up and take you to a friends house.

We'll what happens. I went in yesterday for an xray and the front desk was so incompedent, I don't think the knew how to run my ins. Then they get upset when they call my ins. and the ins. company asks them questions that they can't answer. I ended up walking out and they called to ask me if I could come in early today for the x ray. The dumb broad was new so ill let her slide. Bitches were probably pissed cause I didn't come in with a Medicaid card. The monarch in Mesquite is the only dentist I tried to avoid but its "specialist" is the only one that works with my schedule

Wisdom teeth removal isn't cosmetic. :-)
If they use they same sedation they used on me, it's very true. I remember sitting in the dental chair and waking up on my couch. I have no idea what happened in between.

i got all 4 cut out a couple years ago. they put me out, i am deathly afraid of the dentist. i def. needed a ride. my damn jaw was bruised for a couple weeks after.

If I get an IV then yes, I probably wont be able to power through it. The problem I've been running into lately is price. These teeth are completely exposed and my ins. covers a large portion of the procedure but so far 2 different dentist are trying to charge me for a more complicated extraction. The last Guy tried to nickel and dime me to death with all his BS fees and such

Yeah I remember I still got to see the bill for my procedure.........2800 dollars worth of work and anesthesia.

I always get a bill for extra charges not covered when I see a doc or dentist. Makes you wonder if it's your insurance being tight or the Doc charging stuff not needed.

I know. I finally found a good independent dentist but he can't do the extractions. And the pos place is the only place that can see me when I'm available. If they piss me off, ill just walk out and take some time off work for a better dentist

If it is anything like mine was, I would take the day after the procedure off. I woke up, got my clothes on, contact lens in(before lasik), started walking around like everything was normal... Within 15 minutes I was back in bed passed out for another four hours.

I had 2 pulled and 2 cut out and I didn't feel a damn thing with the IV sedation. I was quick to come out of sedation but I was loopy the rest of the day. Hopefully your oral surgeon doesn't hit a blood vessel like mine did...

This was 4 years ago.
