What sort of monthly payment are you aiming for?

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Get into outside sales. That's what I do. It's a great gig. I travel all day, and only in the office in the morning. Free truck, free gas, expenses paid. Get to drum up new business and maintain relationships with current accounts. Just make sure its a good company, and you're not selling vacuums or insurance. I'm in the oilfield, so its pretty fun and interesting. It's also pretty cool when you look at your sales figures for the month and its in the 7 figures. Bonuses are always good things.

Lmao, but no. No car salesman here. If you have to finance the stuff I sell, you can't afford it. I talk people out of going through a leasing company all the time. Most everything is Net 30 days. Occasionally the factories I rep will offer extended terms as an incentive to the channel partners, but I have no control over that, and honestly, it's not even anything I really discuss. I work my own deals and control pricing, and I've never in my career pulled the "if i can get you that price...." or the "I have to check with my manager...". I don't sell direct to end users. I sell to dealers/distributors. I call on end users, but I don't discuss pricing with them. That's what my distribution channels are for. If they want to mess with financing, the flea market crowd, and the tire kickers, God bless em. That's a complete waste of my time.

The food manufacturing business has been pretty good to me, and if I wasn't getting a degree, I'm pretty secure in the knowledge that I could go almost anywhere and get a perfectly good job that would keep the lights on. You guys wouldn't believe what big companies are willing to pay specialists in my field. What I know how to do is pig simple, and anyone could do it, but food companies like having someone around that gives them the warm fuzzies, so they pay a premium for people that show up, and do their job. Go figure.

Little more detail on what you do?

For the next 8 days, I'm a shift manager for a large dairy company. Almost anyone can make $50k-$60k in a food plant without experience, or a degree, but it entails actual work. I've got a serious itch for a degree, though, and I can't take 15-18 hour course loads and work 50-60 hours a week. I have to graduate with good grades.

Clay does field service and absolutely loves it, long hours though...at least for him.

Hook a brotha up! Seriously, I'm sick and tired of the desk work, too. Don't want to go back to retail. Love the outdoors. I don't have the schooling but I can hook shit up and problem solve. I might literally be too big to be climbing on shit or laying under a dash, though. =(

I'd love to be a park ranger! I believe it takes a 4 year degree though, and the tenure and/or connections to get the good locations.

My unlce was a grocery store manager for years and bought a Little Debbie route when it came up for sale. He loves and would never look back, just him, his truck, trailer and cupcakes.

Oilfield sales can be pretty lucrative too.

You could become a cop; most of their time seems to be spent away from desks and outside killing puppies.
I don't like Republicans, but I really FUCKING hate Democrats.

Sex with an Asian woman is great, but 30 minutes later you're horny again.

LOL! I don't do much dash laying or climbing on rigs anymore, that shit's for the birds! With your sales experience, you could look into our sales side. You've got the personality for it, would just need to learn the industry and shit. Check the web site for openings, i think we may have some shit opening up in this part of the country (Pac NW) and Cali.

I'm normally 8-9 hours a day, but on call 24/7/365 and have response times i have to abide by. There's times I hate what i'm doing but it's always only a week at a time or so, then it's back to something more entertaining and enjoyable.
