Hot Rod Power Tour roll call

Confirmed tonight with a few of my buddies....we are going to meet up with the tour on the 6th in Miami, Ok. Then roll with them on the 7th to Stillwater, and then on back into Arlington on the 8th.

3 possibly 4 cars confirmed at the moment, and I might just decide to take the farm truck with no AC and a bail of hay in the back.

Doing the milleage and plotting the E85 stations. There are none. lol

Total mileage from my house to the hotel in Stillwater is 257. There is an E85 station just past the race track so I will top off there. Probably a great place to start a cruise north if anyone wants to meet up. I am calculating I am only going to get 100-110 on a tank of gas so I will have to top off the tank in Ardmore (90 from start) with 5 gallon containers. That should get us into OKC (97 from OKC) were the next E85 station is. Fill up there, top of the containers and make the last 62 miles to the hotel.

Next week the car goes in for the allignment and to make sure I have all the suspension set right before we put 600 miles on it.

I am going to make a trip up 35 this weekend or next to get a more accurate hwy mpg but right now it looks like 7 miles per gallon.

I have a garage full of new 5 gallon cans I have been using. I need to find a 55gl barrel just to have on hand in there.

If anything I may need 3-4 carried.

Cool. I won't feel bad at all, the first time I filed up mine gas was 2" deep in the trunk. A little e85 won't be an issue.

And since we are staying at the same place, it will work out.

Dammit, that is the same week we're going on vacation for my wife's birthday. Now that I think about it, I think we come back on the Wednesday the 6th. Not sure if I could swing going out of town for a week vacation, then coming back and turning right around and leaving for another 2-3 days.

I registered back in February. Only doing the last leg this year. If things work out, I'll long haul next year. All this in a '69 F-100 if I get it finished in time. Cutting it very close.

I have some friends that live in Tulsa. I could probably just drive up and stay the night with them, then cruise over to Stillwater.

However, it's looking like I won't have the truck by then, and I'm not sure what I'll be driving by then, so we'll see.
