    • Looks like I'm going to have to be out.

We don't get back in town from Beaver's Bend state park until Wednesday and I have some painting jobs that I have to get done on Thursday and Friday.

Next year I plan on doing the Long Haul in my new, top secret pinstriping delivery wagon.

      • Yup I'm out too. I'm too broke and my truck still needs a ton of buffing. Next year in the stang though

Have you seen a 5 day forecast for the weather. Fucking T-Storms from OKC all the way down to DFW. Not the right weather for a turbo car on drag radials. I am still gonna keep working on getting the car together and the A/C done BUT if the weather is gonna suck so will the trip.

Here is to it clearing up before Wed. night.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

I'm "ify" on rain out. I'll just wait until the last minute I guess.

If it's on, lets meet up at Starbux on Heritage Tr Pkwy and I-35. If you map it, there are two there, one inside Kroger and the other streetside at Heritage Tr. 10:00 am.

Then we'll stop at either Velaro at the race track so Keith can top off, or in Denton (depending on if we can get E85 there). We can also hook up with the Dallas people up around Denton - TBD.

                    >600 to the wheels (Keith).

Also, you don't want to see Keith take his panties off - not pretty.

I will hang the panties from the antenna if it doesn't rain. lol

Drag radial Nitto NT05R + rain = swapping back to the junk 255's on Cobras.
Pregnant wife + rain + convertible = top up and the a/c is 50/50 right now that I will have it done in time.

                        • Turnout is pretty good IMO. There were several thousand cars at the proving grounds today. Almost overwhelming.

Coolest part was easily the exit through the proving grounds. They routed us all through that place including some time on the handling courses. We got a little froggy on places, quite fun. A couple of the banks were easily 45 degrees. We left there and headed to the Henry Ford Museum. Awesome museum!!! Saw the limo Kennedy was shot in, first accord built in the USA, Lindburghs travel trailer, and some other very interesting items.

We leave out in the morning at 8:30 or so. 215 miles to the next stop. Syclone seems to be hanging in there. Gonna try to catch up with a guy in our hotel with a beautiful LS converted Fiero tomorrow. I would love something like that!

                          I'll keep y'all posted!

David, I'm up for meeting in Denton, I don't want to have to backtrack. Hoping to leave here around 9:30 or 10:00, depending on the wifey. We'll be in the '42, provided I get the radiator back in time to get it installed.
