I got my but beat when I was a kid and I will say my parents crossed todays line multiple times. However I know right from wrong and treat my elders with respect. I am not sure what the breaking point is going to be but we are going to have to go back to spankings in school and at the house. I was deathly afraid of my football and swim coach. One swat from either could put you under a desk and that’s all they gave you. The public school system is a joke now days “not blaming any teachers". They just suspend kids for bad behavior and the parents are not at home so it’s open season on whatever they want to do. Most of our really bad kids get kicked out on purpose so they can meet up and burglarize houses, knock up girls, and smoke weed. They have no fear of anything until they get put in jail for real and actually have to stay. Hell even our juve system just slaps them on the hand and sends them home. Once they hit 17 and go to big person jail it is past the point of no return and they get a record. They should start locking kids up earlier in life so they learn a little bit about loss of freedom before it is too late and they have a record. Also back to being afraid of going to the coaches or principles office.

I see. So, they are good enough to provide an education for your daughter, but not good enough to discipline when it's necessary? Even though they are the figure of authority for 7-8 hours a day? And you expect your child to respect an authority figure, whom you have taken all authority from, all while asking for their help? You act like admin is just handing out swats all willy nilly like. snatching kids out of the hallway and beating them. The way it worked when I was in school, was the parents got a phone call, were briefed on the situation, and if severe enough, the principal would ask for permission to give swats. They didn't just swat for no reason or without permission.

Here's the problem. Parents like you, are too over protective of their children, and they make this "you mess with my child and I'll fucking kill you" attitude too well known with their kids. So the kids, as kids do, push the boundaries constantly. Why wouldn't they, when they know there is no recourse? It's ok to be protective of your child. But 9 times out of 10, your innocent little child is anything but, and you refuse to listen to reason and accept responsibility for the monster you have created. I mean you, as a collective. But you do appear to share the attitude of those I am singling out.


I wasn't a kid that damn long ago, but I received many whippings from a friend's parents. And from school admin. I eventually learned my lesson. I get in trouble at a friend's house, I got it twice as bad. I get in trouble at school, I get it twice as bad. Most kids these days have no fear, because of parents like you. As someone else pointed out, they know the admin can't touch them, so they push and push and push. Your typical parent these days just comes back at the admin and says they are picking on them. And a lot of parents don't give a damn if their kids are getting in trouble at school, so they don't get punished at home. FAR more common than you think. A former board member was a prime example of this. He let his kids do whatever the fuck they want, including cussing out teachers, because it was funny to him. My kids pull that shit, they won't sit down for a month.

Corporal punishment should be installed at all schools. Hell when I was in elementary the principal had no problem whatsoever whippin our ass if he felt it was justified. guess what....I did not act like a little barbaric shithead, so therefore I did not get my ass whipped.

it is funny as hell when I am out at a grocery store, target, etc. and see little kids acting like monkeys on crack. I tell the kids they need to calm down and act appropriately...most of the time with the parents standing there. Then the parents get the "WTF??" look on their face and I just respond "well you suck at parenting, so I will do it for you."

I try to avoid places with kids (if i can) because of this . When i was a kid i got my ass whooped in school, and then again when i got home, for getting in trouble at school. Deserved every second of it .

My daughter will damn well know that if she gets in trouble at school there will be hell to pay when she gets home. That bus ride on the way home will be the longest one of her life knowing the wrath that will come down on her. I will NOT tolerate any bullshit and she will know it. I will be up in her business like you won't believe when it comes to her behavior. I will do my best to make sure she is respectful to adults and do what she is told knowing there is a stiff penalty waiting for her at home if she gets out of line.

So to say I'm "one of them" is not true at all. I take my parenting very seriously. My daughter is MY responsibilty to teach her right from wrong, to be well mannered and respectful, have a solid work ethic and so on, not the schools. You can ask anyone here who has spent anytime with my daughter, Adam, Chris , Doug, Jeremy, Womack or Trey if they've even seen her so much as fuss or complain let alone act out in public. That's not to say she won't, of course she will. She's a kid and will test the boundries like any kid. But I will do my best to make sure she thinks twice about any of that shit due to the punishment awaiting her at home.

And unfortunately our society has made anyone who could have resolved this situation in a common sense manner unable to do what logic clearly dictates. i would have no problem with my kids getting cuffed if they went crazy and started tearing stuff up like that girl, since there is no way a principal will give swats like when i was in school. that being said i would never have to worry about my kids freaking out at school because they know what would happen to them at home if they did.

Every fucking idiot parent i run into when I drop the 5 year old girl at daycare is so easy to pick apart. You can tell the ones that spank their kids and love them......the kids are polite, well spoken, and have manners. I have rarely seen those calls go out. If they call 911, they go to the PD. They have to dial CPS directly to get CPS. Call centers don't forward 911 calls to CPS.

They never had to because my folks had no problem keeping us in line.......but the fucking idiot neighbors we had believed in that time out crap and helped to further the pussification of america......case in point.....the little dickhead next door decided to break into my dad's 65 mustang and steal the car stereo, well, my dad caught him and damn near blew his brains out, he had the dad come over and talked to him about it and my dad asked the guy (i remember it like yesterday.....i was 8 and my brothers were 17 and 18) well, I can do one of two things...i can call the cops or I can turn him over to my boys." keep in mind that my oldest brother was 6'2" and 270lbs of defensive lineman on the state champ team.....well, the neighbor said "tell Shannon to stomp a mudhole in his ass." little punk looked at his dad with this dumbfounded look like "but daddy, he is gonna hurt me." Well, Shannon stomped a mudhole in his ass in front of the dad and the dad shook his hand and said thanks for not calling the cops and i don't think you will have any more problems now. Swift and easy justice served. A punk motherfucker got beat down, a worn out father didnt have to deal with the law or fines, and the punkass didnt get his head blown off.
