    agreed, many many close calls...

lighter fox with stock brakes and 350+ hp = more dangerous than new 5.0...

hell a stock fox is probably more dangerous.

Agreed, although they stop decent, when traveling at a high rate you can really lose it easily. I had a real close call out on I-20 before green oaks. I was being stupid at running about 80. The freeway was moving fine, when all of a sudden the van I was coming up on slams on his brakes. Here I am locking up the brakes and trying to hit the shoulder. I slide up next to this van and all I see is a baby in the back in car seat. It scared the shit out of me. The mom was in the passenger seat and mouthed thank you, and pointed to the baby. I never again acted like a idiot. Its been over a decade now since I acted like a idiot. What I learned that day, is speeding is only going to get there about 1-2 minutes faster, and if you hit someone then what. Was it worth it? No.

Yeah but everyone is Mario Andretti and speed limits are for losers...

People are ficking stupid. It is called and accident for a reason but when you do stupid shit in stupid areas your chances of accidents increase.

When I go through that area I go the speed limit. I'm in my beater ranger now and I have developed a font give a fuck on the road. Ride my ass all you want....

How quickly everyone forgets what they may have been driving at that age. I had 10 second LS1 with a 2 stage nitrous setup on it when I was barely 20. Lots of kids at that age have had powerful cars and not killed themselves. This is unfortunate none the less.

Just another reminder of how fortunate I was to make it to an age where I knew better.

That area is a fucking roller coaster, literally. I don't think there's 100 feet of flat pavement, pavement that is consistent or straight lane in that whole area. You have bridges hills dips new lanes new concrete etc. you would be better off trying to drag race up a gravel hill then go 80 mph in that area...

My first car at 15 was my 89 GT, worst young that happen to me was spinning out and hitting a curb in the rain. I guess it depends lf the drier gives a shit about his car or not.
