My wife has a 2006 330i ( same body style but with the 3.0) and it just turned 90k and is still as tight as a new car. Heck, my 2011 mustang has more squeaks and rattles than that car. We have had a few issues with it, but they were all the previous owners negligence. The car itself has been fantastic. 30mpg and handles well and is a great road trip car. I've owned alot of cars and its one of my favorites. The 335 pump issue is somewhat a problem on 07-08's rare on 09, but BMW seems to have taken care of that at this point. All the bugs seem to be gone on that platform. I say go with it and dont look back!

nah, i liked the jeep when it had the 37s, but now that we're about to have a newborn, it wasnt practical for a family vehicle. And now that its got the 33s on it, its too boring/plain jane for me. I just want a cool family vehicle, I have a 07 supercab f150 lariat company truck that we usually throw everybody in (free gas FTW) but the bmw would be for when i want to feel like a baller.

Get it. The 09's aren't really having the fuel pump issue. With minor mods they can be a pretty good sleeper. BMW has one of the best if not the best service departments in the business but warranty...warranty...warranty. Try to get a CPO car or get a BMW dealer to certify it to 100k. We had a 335xi standard coupe and it was A LOT of fun.

I've only had my 328i Sport Wagon since August but I love driving it. Tons of practically and it hauls ass. Not bad at all for 240HP. I can't imagine how much more fun the 335i would be.
That said, remember this:
1. If buying used, get a CPO BMW or there is a decent chance you'll regret it.
2. Take a look at a BMW lease. The payments are very reasonable and all of your maintenance is included. The deals are especially good on the 2011's they have left.
3. If buying used, go back to #1.

well, thats part of the thing. There is one CPO 335i that i'm liking, but at the jeep dealership near the house they have an 09 335i with less miles and about 3 grand cheaper, with a "lifetime powertrain warranty" thrown in. Now what that actually means coming from a jeep dealership on a BMW, i dont know. I asked the guy at the BMW dealership about it and he didnt have any idea whether that'd be anything worthwhile or not either. I havent seen any 2011 335i's available for lease, and i'm not sure that i'd be that big of a fan of a lease anyway. i've never done one. *edit, i glanced online, and it shows 459/mo for 36 months with a maximum allowed mileage of 30k and then a buyout option for 30k? WTF? i'd rather just get one thats a couple years old with 30k miles for 30k to begin with. lol.
