ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — George Zimmerman sued NBC on Thursday, claiming he was defamed when the network edited his 911 call to police after the shooting of Trayvon Martin to make it sound like he was racist.
The former neighborhood watch volunteer filed the lawsuit seeking an undisclosed amount of money in Seminole County, outside Orlando. Also named in the complaint were three reporters covering the story for NBC or an NBC-owned television station.
The complaint said the airing of the edited call has inflicted emotional distress on Zimmerman, making him fear for his life and causing him to suffer nausea, insomnia and anxiety.
The lawsuit claims NBC edited his phone call to a dispatcher in February. In the call, Zimmerman describes following Martin in the gated community where he lived, just moments before he fatally shot the 17-year-old teen during a confrontation.
“NBC saw the death of Trayvon Martin not as a tragedy but as an opportunity to increase ratings, and so set about to create a myth that George Zimmerman was a racist and predatory villain,” the lawsuit claims.

Of course, his underlings don't have the balls to bring the charges forward.
I still think we should convene a Grand Jury in the County agent Terry was killed in and indict Holder for his role in the capitol murder of agent Terry.

I've been thinking about the reason this confrontation even happened, and I thought back to just dealing with people. It seems that I have noticed in my line of work, that the most animated, defensive, overly reactionary have the most to hide.
It is possible that the reason TM reacted the way he did, was because he really was up to something, and GZ interrupted him.
Why else for such a violent reaction from TM? Why, as a 17 year old with his build, just put on the jets? He could have just GTFO. I'm sure he could have outrun GZ. But no, he chose to stop walking away, and go to GZ for the purpose of confronting him. Why does anyone close the distance in a fight? To get within striking range. And that's exactly what TM did. He ran his mouth to get close enough to GZ to initiate contact. He did so in such a manner that it caught GZ off guard and TM got the upper hand. It worked right up until GZ had to resort to deadly force to stop the attack.
At least that's the conclusion that I have reached.

Like some others, I don't think anyone in this episode was totally innocent. But beyond that I think this is putting a real exclamation point on race relations in this country. We've got some serious issues we need to make some real effort to resolve. This isn't something Government can fix. This is something only people can fix.
As a Christian, it really disturbs me that we have White Churches, Black Churches, Hispanic Churches, Korean Churches, etc, etc, etc. Each of these purport to worship God and Christ but how can that really be the case when we don't worship together? I know that some of this is dictated by language barriers but those can be overcome. Blacks and Whites, however, don't have that issue.
This is only an example, but I think it is a good one. How on this Earth can we every hope to understand each other when we don't give each other the time of day or even sit beside each other to worship a common God?
My old neighborhood in Lake Dallas had about 5 or 6 black families, maybe 4 or 5 white families, and a few Hispanic and Asian families thrown into the mix. Everyone didn't just get along, everyone was genuinely friendly to each other. We looked out for each other. The reason, IMO, is because we were actually being a part of each others lives. It kinda nice and I miss that neighborhood as a result. Lots of good people (Despite me and TorchRedStang living there )

It was TM's decision to confront GZ, and therefore start the violent act that led to the outcome.
TM and TM alone started the physical assault and therefore broke the first law.
