Tell you what. Why don't we put "Dr." at the front of or "PhD" at the end of every name that testifies on Zimmerman's behalf. Fuck it if they really haven't earned a degree as a doctor. They have earned the distinguished award as prize witness for the defense in the case with the most racial tension in the last decade. Currently, we don't have an established award system, so instead, we'll just borrow the titles of "Dr." and "PhD" but adapt it to fit the meaning for the above stated recognition. There's no way anyone on the jury or watching the trial would ever confuse these "awards" with those who actually earned a PhD or would ever give the witness extra credibility for "donning" the title.

I was able to watch the medical examiner's rep (who didn't do the autopsy) minimize Zimmerman's injuries. It was like she had been coached on making them sound insignificant.

I'm not anti-military. I'm anti people who think everyone should show de facto reverence to anything even closely related to military. I did give a simple no, then followed with an explanation. I have had the same thoughts on military reverence for as long as I can remember.

You're a moron. Some people go by Dr in front and others PhD at the end instead. I'm well aware of how the title is used. The ribbons used are a recognized military award, just like a PhD title is. As for the cross, your point works in favor of what we're all saying. 99% of the people who see the cross think of Christ and Christianity. Morons like you may think differently, but the majority has the same opinion. If you were to be a witness and you wore a necklace with a cross on it, what do you think the perception of you would be?
