Hell no I don't. It is their parenting, or lack thereof, not the race that places them where they choose to be in society. I have a young cousin that grew up in the armpit of Pleasant Grove, and who has turned out to be an asset to society as an adult. This due in large part to my efforts to show him a better way, and also my wife. We made an effort to go pick him up at least once a month for the weekend and impart some sort of value system to him to show him that hard work does have a payout. It worked and he tells us regularly how much it helped him to see a way out.

Many of the people you touch on above, were they to have positive role models around them, would find their way out as well. Instead they are brought up in a fatherless society, one in which it is taught from a young age that it is acceptable to drink and steal and do God only knows what all day and night, and one in which it is desirable to suck at the governmental teat. So I guess my point is that it's not a race thing, it's a parental influence thing. Many in that community do make it out, so it's not impossible.

So let's not make it a racist thing, because that segment of society has done this to themselves through their "parenting", which set this cycle up decades ago.

A day after killing Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman passed a police lie detector test when asked if he confronted the teenager and whether he feared for his life “when you shot the guy,” according to documents released today by Florida prosecutors.
