Also, for some reason the "he should have stayed in his car" argument pisses me off. Too many people are (I'm guilty a lot too) figuratively just staying in their cars over a lot of issues. Based off the court case and other information, Zimmerman did nothing illegal - including getting out of his car.

The word "no safety" is pretty misleading. The kaltec was designed around concealed carry and personal protection. It has an internal safety preventing accidental firing.

My Dad owns one, I took it to the range with a ton of other pistols a couple weeks ago. The trigger pull is MASSIVE.

The trigger pull is SO long in fact, that I kept thinking the gun was jammed/misfiring. A range officer actually saw the video and came outside asking what was wrong with the gun. This was exacerbated because the previous gun I had fired that day was a 357 mag with a worked trigger (1lb vs 6lb).

In my opinion, if you fire that gun, you did it intentionally. The whole argument over a manual safety is pointless. The news just likes using the statement "No Safety", as if the gun were reckless. The supposed safety could cost you your life if you needed to use the gun in an instant.

It's like driving on a two lane street without a guard rail. The only thing keeping you from swerving into incoming traffic and killing someone, is you. There is no safety.

The lead investigator in this case was questioned about Zimmerman's pistol in great detail. It was explained very well so the most ignorant could understand. I have a feeling the person who stated all that nonsense missed that day in court.

I have a good friend that is fiscally conservative, hates all the taxes thrown down on his investments yet he's socially liberal (welfare, food stamp, a-ok!).
