have hated best buy for years now. ever since I bought a laptop from them and when I had to have it sent out to get it worked on they broke the screen and refused to fix it. I’ll never give them my business.
They are the blend that I personally like. They have kiosks in the Components section. If you can't find something, you go to the Kiosk and they will assist you. They don't hunt you down and hold you and pen-point wanting a sale.
I also like Fry's and I think they have a much better business model that caters to electronics and computer nerds rather than every swinging dick off the street that needs whatever his neighbor has.

I like best buy's TV warranties... that sucks if they go under... I have a 5 year warranty on my LG.
x2 do we get any kind of compensation for the warranty we bought if they do go under?
I would go beat the fuck out of all of them within an inch of their life, then fuck their chihuahua while they watch as they get loaded into the ambulance
I have never worked for best buy but like most retail businesses, they are trained to greet the customer to reduce theft and make sure the customer's needs are met. The way most customers are, they are annoyed right up until they need assistance and then they are pissed that no one is right there beside them. Can't win IMO.
