I don't believe in conspiracies, really. At least not full blown conspiracies like some of the nuts in this world.

To say the government doesn't cover up or clean up anything after the fact would be silly on my part. Just some situations get blown way out of proportion.

Example: After Kennedy was killed, there was alot of scrambling to regain control of the world. After the "most powerful leader" in the world was so easily killed by a random social reject with a mail order rifle there was the really sloppy investigation of the Warren Commission that clearly had no clue of forensics and ballistics who basically just guess at alot of shit making them look really bad. Since it was so bad, people just couldn't believe it therefor they had to be hiding something over cover something up when in actuality, they were just clueless.

If you've ever read the entire warren commission (I've actually read the entire thing, believe it or not) it's far from sloppy. It's excellent investigative work - the truth is most people are so emotionally distraught over the incident it doesn't matter how good the evidence or research is, they will dismiss it as sloppy.

They missed details that would have helped more easily explain to the public how it was possible for Oswald to carry out the shooting.

Example - for many years people believed the "magic bullet" theory because the WC didn't take into account that the Senator's seat sat several more inches inboard placing him at the proper angle not seated directly in front of JFK as previously thought. It was a temporary seat that was removable for parades for more seating. When the general public watched the Zapruder film it looks as if the Senator is seated directly in front of JFK when he wasn't, so the conspiracy theorists went crazy with it.

I understand what you're saying, but addressing the theories of loons is not proper detective work. You shouldn't find those things in an official investigation. You analyze the data, and you come to the factually based most likely conclusion, not some jackass who things people fired from manhole covers, etc. The truth is what 50 years of science and investigation have uncovered is that the Warren Commission is accurate. The Warren Commission sold reality, not tabloid sensationalism.
