Funny thought, I bet we see basically this same post from him in a year or two when he doesn't pay the surcharges from this fresh DWLI that got him tossed into the pokey.

Well if you were pulled over a month ago why didn't you fix it then while you remembered instead of procrastinating. Looks like you waited till your third strike and some cop that's actually doing his job to take you in for you to get your stuff inline. You were asking for it.

i guess so. i think subconsciencely i really wanted my car towed and to go to jail.
Bad timing like that happens. Back when my old car got broken into, it was in the body shop for 2 months and in that time my registration and inspection stickers had gone out. I got my car after 6pm. On the way to work the next day I got pulled over in NRH. Even though I showed him my repair order paperwork which had an open and close date on it, he still cited me for both violations. It wasn't as bad as yours, but it still cost me an extra $20.
Similar story, I bought a Mustang from a friend a while back that had expired tags, I picked it up in the evening then was getting everything taken care of the next day. I took my daughter to daycare first thing in the morning and got pulled over while pulling into the parking lot. I showed him a bill of sale (I know it's not a legal form but it had the previous day's date) and insurance that was bought the day before and told him I was headed to handle it, he said sorry and gave me a ticket. I know I was in the wrong for driving the car with expired tags but damn, how about a warning.

how about not driving the car that is illegal, then complaining when you get a ticket for doing something illegal.
Take another car, or get a ride to get your shit taken care of instead of breaking the law.
I'm no saint, i've been in your shoes, and somewhat in the OP's shoes as far as letting tickets go, and getting stopped with warrants, etc... But I didn't complain about it. I knew what I was doing was illegal and when I got caught i paid my fine or spent a few hours in jail.
I guess everyone thinks they are above the law, and should be given a break, even when they admit to blatently breaking the law.

Yeah, he was pretty much being a dick. I got stopped for out of date tags in Crandall, the cop was cool with it and just told me to get it taken care of. Within the law to do it? Yeah. Complete dick thing to do? Absolutely.

What about inspection? You supposed to trailer it up to the station to get it inspected? What if you replaced an O2 sensor and now have to drive it 50 miles it order for the system to get ready, then what are you supposed to do?

well... if your license, registration, and insurance is current, you don't have too much to worry about. If you get pulled over and cited on your way to get the vehicle inspected, it will be very easy to get that charged dismissed with your new proof of inspection.
BUT... if you're driving around with a SUSPENDED LICENSE in a vehicle that isn't 100% legal, you're just a goddamn retard
