  • Has anyone known anyone in the Dawson jail near Lew Sterrett?

Has anyone ever visited the "Dawson" unit? I understand its a step down and not quite as locked down. I understand they allow families with children to visit and just wondering if anyone had ever done it?

I've never been in any kind of jail, but I understand they allow visits in a "common area" with other inmates and families so I am guessing it is not for the dangerous types.

It's a shit hole and yes they allow kids in there. The throw everyone in the gym together and most people can't control thier 8 kids that are running around bugging the shit out of you.

Btw, don't wear shorts, sandels and do yourself a favor and only walk in with your ID and single car key. They are dicks and will turn you away for any little thing.

I took my nephew to see my little brother for the six months he was in there. Every Saturday. It wasn't so bad. We were allowed to buy a bunch of crap for him in their vending machines. The only issue you might have is that it will be in a common area with several other people visiting at the same time.

Lew Sterrett? Never heard of him. Sure you don't mean Lewis Derrick?
