Tornado in Oak Cliff/Dallas County/Tarrant County/Ellis County

I thought I was to close so I put it in reverse but looked in the rear view mirror and there was a wall of stopped cars behind me so nowhere to go. As it crosses the road it seems to hook to the left and come back a little so I jam it in gear and haul ass. I have a short vid of me trying to get clear and showing the damaged houses on the east side of 287.

It's loading to photo bucket also but will take hours. It's not near as good because I shut off the camera for a few secs to focus and decide what to do. Towards the end of the one above you can hear debris starting to hit the car. I had the windows down a few inches and it gets quiet because crap starts flying in the window so I roll them up.

i recorded some rotation by UTA when the sirens were going off and the recording to seek cover was replaying over and over. it was very eerie seeing 3 rotations in that area.

Finally got my video uploaded to Photo Bucket. It's taken on Southbound 287 just south of I-20 in Kennedale.

Did you piss yourself or shat yourself? I might've done both. I was 3/4 of a mile away from the tornado that hit Oak Leak and it was pretty clear that it would miss me and I was still nervous as shit taking pics....you were prolly 75 yards from that beast and getting pelted with debris.....your a braver man than I am.

My wife came in around 1:45 with coffee and said "hey babe you slept thru a tornado and 20 phone calls, and might wanna call work". Been here since and will be here till 6am. Took an entire neighborhood out and two apartment complexes. This is my first break since I rolled in. I live about a mile from here.

Well the storm just missed my place in Royce City by 300 hundred yards, It took half the shingles off my neighbors roof next to me & took all his under pinning out from around the trailer. The house next to him it really trashed, It demolished half of that house completely. You can see the roof studs & on Poutry Rd right behind my house it took out a bunch of houses!

I feel extremelly lucky my RV was spared. Of course I do have insurance on it & looking at buying a singlewide for my place so the kids dont have to sleep in the living room. I kinda wished it had taken my place instead of some of my neighbors. The place looks like a war zone

Reminds me a little bit of the video of the car that went into Ray Hubbard a couple months ago. They panicked and didn't know what to do so they just screamed for help while the car was sinking.

Tornado Rule #1: You cannot predict the path of a Tornado. If you are in a situation where you are too close, do not try and outrun it. Evaluate and seek shelter immediately. Luckily for the drivers in that video the tornado wasn't keeping shape. Had it been of F-series registration those cars would not have stayed.
