My wife got pissed, because I started searching for cool pics on it, and was saving or "pinning" a bunch of pictures on her page. So, it was all of her interior decorating ideas, and art crap...and then a bunch of pictures of lowered trucks/ratrods/classic muscle cars/tatoo pics.

Before Last Christmas I went to hobby lobby with the gf and noticed how packed it was and murmured..."all this because of stupid pinterest". Nearly everyone responded with a giggle and a "yep that's why were here".

I'm probably doing it wrong, but I don't get it. It's completely disinteresting to me. Every now and then, I'll see something interesting or funny shared on a friend's Facebook wall that catches my eye, but for the most part, it seems like a waste of time.

just think of it as an online bookmarking site

Something you want to come back and look at again, recipes, etc. you "pin" it to your board, then you have access to those via a pinned picture.

When it was first released, I thought it was a pretty good idea technically.

I haven't looked at it but isn't that what a favorites tab does?

This creates a graphic based board that's kept online rather than per computer and text based.

Of course this was before chrome, etc was syncing favorites and settings.

Me either....I have plenty of friends on it, but life in general is taking up enough of my time....I don't need something on top of FB and here to take even more of it.....and shoot, the only reason why FB keeps me busy is I get bored at work at times.....
