Tax Help Needed

I did a search on this and cme up with nothing on here.

Is there anyone on here that is a tax guru?

Long story short, after my divorce a while back I went financially brain stupid.
Last year I finally got it all cleared up by setteling with the dreditors.

I am looking for help, advice, or personal experience with proving Insolvent.
Have you done it?
What is needed?
What is the downside?

Etc...Etc...

As it stands right now I owe Uncle Sam a chunk and would like to see what options I have if any.

If there are any CPA's or Tax people on here I could use some help.

I believe there are a couple of REAL cpa's around here, is supercpa still a member? that's one that comes to mind. I can't moonlight on the side or I would offer some help, but are you looking at an offer and compromise situation on back taxes?

Some quick advice stick with a local CPA that has experience in that area, and avoid the heavily advertised boutique firms. If any firm or person says they will handle it on a contingent fee arrangement, run far away.
