  • There isn't one in DFW, but if you get a chance to try Bobby Flay's "Bobby's Burger Palace" - do it. Easily one of the best burgers I've ever had. Thick, not overcooked, and full of flavor. I could feel my arteries clogging with each bite.

Bobby's Burger Palace presents signature burgers, fries, milkshakes, salads, and sandwiches inspired by Chef Bobby Flay.

Too many locals have been going there since the beginning for it to die. I think it's the classic formula for a neighborhood bar and grill. It's crammed full of local sports history, it's very convenient to get to for a lot of well established neighborhoods that have, for the most part, stood the test of time against turning to shit, it's family friendly, I've never had anything on the menu that I didn't like, it's priced for the blue-collar worker to be able to afford to take his family out to a fun dinner on Friday or Saturday night, more tv's than you can count. I think the most impressive feat they've accomplished in standing the test of time and competition is that they, unlike several restaurants in the area, have survived the blow the Highlands has dealt the area. Even some of the eateries in the Highland's have gone under. I think that says a lot.

If you haven't been in a long time, you need to go. Give me some notice and I'll meet you there.

they weren't hoyty toyty like some of these other establishments, but it was the best in that area.

I am not sure it is even open anymore.

              Decent for sure.

I dig smashburger. Then again I eat burgers plain so I don't judge by condiments. The royale burger at steak and shake has egg and is good as shit for a hangover cure.

just cause your brother likes to chow on your beef doesn't mean it's FTW or anything else... Your opinion is shit.

                        • I haven't tried most of the places on that list, so Mooyah is my favorite. As for the ones I have tried:

Five Guys - meh, too spotty. Sometimes really good but most of the time it is too greasy to enjoy.
In-and-out - surprisingly good, especially for the price. However I rarely eat there since it is out in Frisco. I love their fries.
Whataburger - it's whataburger, it's the standby when nothing else is around.
Smashburger - a plate of fuckin' awesome, but too far to enjoy regularly.
Twisted Root - I've only eaten there once, it's not bad, but not number 1 by any stretch.

I need to make a point of trying some of those other places.

                          • Recommend y'all try this place.

It's not a knock your socks off kind of place, but they serve a good damned burger for the money and they stick with the basics. Just don't get the slaw, I hate their slaw. Burger of the day, o-rings with a drink. usually under 9 dollars.

Deal. I don't suck on the first date though, so don't be expecting anything.
