I don't know why people knock DLP. I absolutely love mine. My living room is too bright for plasma. And I don't give a damn what anyone says, NO anti glare coating works as advertised.

The downsides to DLP are size (when compared to plasma/LCD/LED), weight (compared to LCD/LED), heat output (compared to LCD/LED), and bulb maintenance.

It seems that in your case, the DLP fits the bill and does not have the drawbacks of a plasma (glare). Most LCD/LED screens won't have issues with glare, but they're significantly more expensive.

Yeah, I thought about it, but it wasn't worth replacing the 80" ones we have already...

DLP? No thanks Ill stick to 122" front projection. I will switch over when I can get a 100"+ LCD or Plasma for a reasonable price though.

I think the DLP has the LCD beat on weight. Unless they have changed something in the past year. I can lift a boxed 58" DLP by my self, no problems. A 58" LCD gives me quite the struggle. ANYTHING Panasonic makes is a heavy MFER. I'm pretty sure they pack their boxes with bricks instead of styrofoam.
