he gets a fine for public intox, $394 here in dallas but if you set up a court date the judge will more than likely give you time served for the time you were at detox and dismiss the fine

How was he able to determine if I was impaired or not? I know for a fucking fact I was not, and I knew it was about the city trying to make money...and no I didn't bond out, I was thinking I would be released in the morning but ended up staying a couple days instead.

Once I saw the judge I entered a plea of not guilty. The judge said ok your bond is set at $396! WOW is what I thought and asked so I can't sit it out and then contest it in court? NOPE! I wasn't about to waste $400 just because this guy thought I was drunk.

Don't ever take a sobriety test in that situation. If he wants to arrest you for PI then let him explain to the judge why he didn't just leave you on the side of the road.

I like how some cops got sued for leaving some drunk ass on the side of the road so now everyone gets to pay the city a fine for PI to cover the city's dumb ass. More money grabbing bullshit just like the seat belt thread!
