Funny thing, jaba chamberlane just fucked his ankle on a trampolen. I think they called it an open compound fracture. Doc would know what its called. They said he lost a lot of blood.

It's an accident. Plain and simple. Not going to file on him for an accident. Insurance in this neck of the woods is high enough.
I didn't mean for you to sue the guy. LOL! There's coverage for that on home-owners' policies, if you didn't have insurance yourself.

Hope he heals up quick and everything goes smoothly.

Our last on involved jumping from a top bunk to a beanbag chair. He missed and the concrete under the carpet was not forgiving. Result , broken femur, two surgeries, one to insert rods and one to remove, not even a cast, just a stiff nylon and velcro sleeve, and about three months healing.

Maybe it's because i don't have kids or have broken bones in the past and continued to breathe, but i'm not really sure why it's a huge worry.
How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

Meh, you have to have a kid to get it I suppose. Aside from your feelings about your kid being in pain. It Is a huge pain in the ass. Doc visits, showers, general nursing bs.

That sucks. Luckily, no broken bones yet for t son (10). I know it's coming, just surprised it hasn't happened yet. Kid plays hard, and rides dirtbikes. It's inevitable at some point.

After talking to the other father we've worked some things out. Its still just an accident though. I'm not jumping overboard on it.

Damn, that sucks, hope he gets healed up quick.

I find it funny that people here bitch about people looking for a pay day, but scream to file against his home owners insurance. I know that it's not suing the guy, but it's the same idea. It was an accident, shit happens and my hat is off to the OP for seeing it that way.

I had a trampoline as a kid, hell, I still have one that I set up next to my pool for jumping in. I have gone over the rail, had my leg fall through the springs, hit the side rails, went through an old mat, and landed on my head while attempting a back flip. Never once got a broken bone, just lucky I guess, cause god knows the stage was set for one.

I remember as a kid bouncing off the trampoline into a pile of cord wood. No broken bones but a hell of a lot of cuts and bruises. And I completely understand worrying about your kiddo on minor injuries, much less broken limbs

thats good that you acknowledge that it was an accident....
                          hope your kiddo recovers quickly

growing up as a kid i was at my cousins neighbors house, with a group of maybe 5 kids, being dumb jumping on and off the trampoline. One of the kids jumps off and somehow lands on his wrist and breaks it. Neighbors mom (owner of the house) calls kids parents, they come over and immediately start asking for her insurance and who was going to pay for the hospital bill! i was like WTF your kid has a broken wrist and your worried about money?!

Last i heard from my cousin was that they where sued and lost a lot of money, even had to move from a house to an apartment so they could pay off the kids medical bill.....

I fear the day when my kid(s) break a bone. And the liability is why I got rid of our trampoline and will never have a pool.

It sucks but he will survive, I made it all the way to 18 without breaking anything then 2 weeks after I graduated HS I broke my leg. Damn that summer sucked.

A quick visit to the Orthopedic surgeon this morning and a nice little cast. 3-4 weeks is the prognosis. Going back on Friday to get the ok to travel back to Dallas for spring break.
