  • Don't kick cops

They may ninja you in the head.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - The suspended Lincoln police officer accused of kicking a female suspect is expected to take the stand in his trial Monday.

The defense is expected to call at least two people to the stand. An expert in defense, and Officer Edward Krawetz.

Krawetz is accused of felony assault of a woman outside Twin River slot parlor in Lincoln back in May of 2009.

•Cop charged with assault of a deadly weapon
Prosecutors say video images from a security camera show Officer Krawetz kicking Donna Levesque of Uxbridge, Massachusetts, in the back of the head after she made a motion toward him with her leg.

That video was shown in court on Wednesday.

She was sitting on a curb in handcuffs outside Twin River after the police had escorted her out of a bar inside for what Officer Krawetz 's partner characterized Thursday in court as "intoxicated, angry and belligerent behavior."

The two police officers were waiting for a third Lincoln police officer who would drive Donna Levesque to the Lincoln police station where she would be charged with disorderly conduct.

On Thursday, the defendant's fellow police officer at Twin River that evening testified that Officer Krawetz never expressed concern for his own safety, never said he feared serious bodily injury, never yelled out that he was in pain and never sought medical attention.

First off, fuck that cop. Shes barefoot, handcuffed and really no threat to him and she barely touches him. Like most cops, Im sure he beats his wife...

, but seriously jk! Nice stereotype though! It makes sense for a lot of cops that I've had the unfortunate displeasure of dealing with.

He shouldn't have kicked her, but I don't think he should lose his job either. Maybe a suspension and a desk for a while. If he wouldn't have done anything, then she would have continued to escalate the situation.

I have seen this type of behavior too many times from drunk individuals. They are like 5 yr olds. If you let it go they keep getting worse. That doesn't mean you need to kick them in the head though. Maybe they should have put her in a squad car for her own protection... damn I could do his job!

I think it is silly especially to the extent of "lightly" kicking someone.

In my opinion the whole thing is a bit childish on both parts. I mean if you kick someone, you are going to get kicked back. Yeah, yeah, I know cops have higher standards etc, blah blah, but it is a kick upside the head for her stupid ass actions, not 10 bullets to her chest.

Every action has a reaction and if your action is stupid as fuck the reaction will be equally shocking......

Definitely a wife beater, I can see it in the video. I bet he rapes donkeys in his spare time too just to show them who is boss.

Thing is, I have several friends and family that are police officers and they have problems just like the rest of us. I know alot of them have very stressful lives and it spills over to their home life.

I agree with the term "play stupid games, win stupid prizes", but a drunk chick in handcuffs does not deserve that kind of treatment.

Been there done that, I used to bounce at clubs and have had to deal with drunk people.

I'm all for "eye for an eye," but the head shot might have been much. Him kicking her in the leg wouldn't bother me. You punch me, I punch you... you kill someone, you get killed... And I wonder if the cops defense was, "she started it!"
