  • anyone done a title loan? im seriously considering one to consolidate all my debt

into one simple payment. i know alot of these places are run by crooks and just want to take your car and auction it off. and i really dont want to risk my van getting repo'd but surely one of these so called bussinesses is legit and will work out a plan with me. any help is appreciated. unfortually i do not have the credit for a bank loan and my credit car(less than a thousand) is maxed out. im only looking for a 1500 or less loan to consolidate everything.

Why do you need the money now? If the majority is your credit card, at least thats what I get out of what you said, they aren't going to come take your shit.

And Kinda means you don't have a second job.

I would exhaust every possible option first, most title loan places have an APR in excess of 100%.

i get a SS check and i have a job and work the maxumum amount the govt will let me legally. i cant find any cash jobs anymore till the lawn mowing season starts again and i am still looking for a job to pay me ennough to get rid of the SS check, believe me this my be my last option.

i dont care about the interest as long as i can pay it off in a year and not lose my car, i already have a huge interest payday loan that i still owe $400 bux on. this is kinda a hole i have dug myself into, but i want to do the right thing now and pay everyone off and make one large paymnent a month instead of just paying interest to everyone.

I'd wager the interest on the one loan might be higher than the others combined, but I really don't know. $1500 isn't a large amount of money to come by. Sell some shit on ebay or hit some junkyards and grab some stuff you can make some money on.

I am going to state my opinion simply because I hate people talking about money issues. First off, I don't know your situation and am not posting this to stir the pot like most of the board does with you.

                      1. If it is $1,500 I wouldn't be getting any loan. I would do what someone recommended and pay it off quick or start selling shit.

                      2. Receiving SS and have a part time job is not having two jobs.

                      3. If you are waiting to cut lawns you are more than capable of working two jobs, let alone one full job and not receive SS.

I point these out simply because if you really wanted to pay it off it looks like you have all the "resources" to do so, you are just looking for an easier "solution" or a bandaid.

                      Anyways, that's my opinion...

You can't work a cash job for a painter, carpet layer, ditch digger, etc.? Lawn mowing isn't the only cash job in the world.

$1,500 is your debt, and you can't pay it off?

The last three comments should suffice. You just need to get a cash job and pay it off. Bottom line. A loan is just not the way to go.
