  • Big Bend National Park Suggestions

I'm heading down to Big Bend this weekend to do some mountain biking. Any suggestions on where to go and what to see? I've been there once when I was a little kid, but pretty much this will be my first time down there. Are there any good restaurants to hit up on Saturday night in Terlingua? I'm going to be staying in the RV park at Rio Grande Village, hopefully I don't get hit by a stray bullet from mexico.

It is going to be good and hot, 95 and sunny all three days.

I appreciate the suggestion, but the observatory is 160 miles from the camp ground. Funny enough the observatory is only 180 miles from my house lol. For someone who hasn't been there it is a cool place to visit, just too far out of the way from Big Bend.

Not much else. He was laying in between the rails and his head was cut off. Not a scratch on his body. We couldn't stop because Amtrak was up our ass, but my buddy that was on the train behind amtrak stopped and got some pics of it. Let me see if I can get them from him and post them. I saw a black one about 3 years ago. It was about 20 miles west of Sanderson and laying on a big rock that over looked a dry creek. It was just sun bathing at 8am and flipping his tail as we went bye. It didn't even move just turned and looked at us.

I guess trains take all 9 lives simultaneously.
