I really would like to have it done, but I am NOT going to risk my eyes if I am on the border for it being successful. I will wait until the technology evolves some more, or just stick to glasses/contacts. Thanks for the info and your experiences.

I've been watching this thread. I just got new glasses/prescription last Saturday, and while it's nice to have my vision back to where it was 6 years ago when I last had my eyes checked......I'm tired as hell of wearing glasses.
This might be something I do in 2012.Matts1911SA - XBox Live Gamertag

So far so good. Only hang up was how badly my eyes burned afterwards. Also extremely sensitive to sunlight. It's been almost five hours since and I can now tolerate indoor light and am able read fairly well. Right now it just feels like I have really dry contacts in my eyes. I'm a little concerned because my left eye is still a little more blurry than the right, but get a checkup tomorrow and we'll see what's up.
The procedure was a bit uncomfortable when the corneas were sliced, but everything else was not bad. They gave me some stuffed animal to hold onto while it all went down. Each eye took about 2 or 3 minutes. The actual laser regiment took 30 seconds for each eye.

Yea using a companies health care flex spening account allows you to pay for medical expenses with pretax dollars. That roughly translates to a 30% savings.
I allocated 3k for 2012 during my companies benefit open enrollment. I just put it on a credit card and will file for my reimbursement Monday.www.hppmotorsports.com

As far as money goes, the office I went to offered a no interest/26mo payment plan.

When they describe it as a cattle farm, they mean it.
you are kind of in a daze and can't see much when they bring you to the lasik room. his helpers get you all setup but i liked that booth is the one who handles the eye clamp and both stations that matter which are the corneal incision and the laser correction portion along with flipping open and closed the cornea flap.www.hppmotorsports.com
