We used to pull that shit when I was in high school. Not to that extent of course, but partying in empty houses has been around since long before Project X. I wouldn't be surprised if whoever came up with the movie idea got it from a prior experience themselves. These particular kids seem like they went into the thing fully planning on trashing the house though. If you're smart you try and hide that you were there so that you can get away with it, and maybe even do it again later.

That would require planning and intelligence....

Anyone else ever noticed that every generation of kids takes something too far, and ruins it for the generations behind them? The 60's kids ruined drugs, 70's kids ruined buying alcohol at 18 and cruising around, 80's kids ruined unprotected sex, 90's kids ruined pranks and hazing, my generation in the 00's ruined street racing, and now the new generation in the 10's are doing in house parties.

While I find your statement to be profound, all of that stuff still goes on and will continue with successive generations.

              Yeah, sorry about that.

Yes, but we get in a lot more trouble for it now.

True, but teenagers often fail to recognize the consequences of their actions.

It is nothing short of a miracle that I am both alive and have a clean criminal record.

Haha, I hear you on that one. Well alive at least, I got a couple more months of being good before I can safely say the clean criminal record part. That has to do with one of the prior generations things though.

Exactly, when I was 16 street racing was a class C violation and no different than a speeding ticket. We didn't think twice about going to the edge of town and racing. Looking back it seems pretty ridiculous that we would even run when the cops showed up. Now days it's not even worth the risk of a class B.

Hell yeah, I'm just glad I made it this long.

You got the '70s and '80s mixed up.

Kids do stupid shit. Thats the bottom line. The only difference is, now the kids AND the parents are going to pay the consequences.

When my sis was in high school(i was still in elementarty) my dad worked nights. Holy shit the things that happened at our house were ridiculous. Eventually it all ended one night with my sis passed out, with holes in our walls, punctured water beds, floors soaked, guns stolen. Our house was completely ransacked.

I could see a busted door, broken window or hole in a wall but how is that a party? If 11 kids did that they were more worried about trashing the place than actually having a 'party'. Is that what the movie is about?

I watched the trailer and it looks more like a party that got out of control and 'guests' got crazy whereas the story above seems like those kids went out with the intent of trashing the place. Ya'll are probably right about the lawsuits though

They should make the kids do all the grunt work cleaning up and repairing those homes.
